Elizabeth Goodman is an experience design lead at 18F, a civic consultancy for the government, inside the government. Working together with its partners, 18F enables agencies to rapidly deploy tools and services that are easy to operate and use, cost efficient, and reusable. As a designer, writer, and researcher Elizabeth teaches and speaks widely on how to engage users, stakeholders, and the public in designing for complex systems and environments. She is a co-author of Observing the User Experience (Morgan Kaufman) and Designing Connected Products (O'Reilly) and has a PhD from UC Berkeley’s School of Information.
