ALEX WRIGHT



Alex Wright is the Director of Research at Etsy and a faculty member at the School of Visual Arts' MFA program in Interaction Design. Previously, he led UX design and research initiatives for The New York Times, Adobe, IBM, Phoenix Pop, Rollyo, Sun Microsystems, Harvard College and the Long Now Foundation, among others. His work has won numerous industry awards, including a Webby, Cool Site of the Year, and an American Graphic Design Award. He speaks regularly at industry conferences and events, and has published more than 100 articles in The Atlantic, The New York Times, Salon.com, Interactions, Communications of the ACM and elsewhere. He is also the author of two books on the history of information systems, including his latest Cataloging the World: Paul Otlet and the Birth of the Information Age.
